News: Dragon Warrior IV for PlayStation (3.5.2001)

Dragon Quest 4 for the PlayStation will NOT be released to the US, but it was already released in Japan November 22, 2001.

RPGamer added some Dragon Quest IV remake screen shots and art.

The GIA and Magic Box made previews for the PlayStation version of Dragon Warrior 4. This remake will be released 11.22.01 in Japan as Dragon Quest 4. I personally speculate that some statistics will be changed in the remake to make the game faster but hopefully more challenging, and the final chapter should have an option to control all the party members. Here are some bonuses known for sure to be in the Dragon Warrior 4 remake so far:

Monster animations
Better graphics.
New translation.
The return of the Day/Night system.
It will have a battle statistics screen.
150 titles (such as warrior or merchant) will be awarded to characters when they reach certain conditions.
The Dragon Warrior 7 inter-party Talk command.
