Drake

A synonym of Dragon from the Latin word draco. Drakes are large lizards. They sometimes fly and breathe fire.

In Beowulf there is a Drake that causes havoc in a village by its fire breath. In Beowulf and modern fantasy, drakes are smaller cousins of Dragons.
